My Westie (Baby)

When I was growing up my mother raised dogs..We always had a house full of puppies. I was familiar with several breeds however I never had a Westie till 3 years ago.  She was a gift from our neighbor for helping take care of him.  I looked up on the internet to research West Highland Terriers and it said if you want a nice garden don’t buy a Westie, if you want a lap dog don’t buy a Westie, if you want a nice clean dog don’t buy a westie, and I thought Oh my goodness what did my neighbor get me in to..Well the first six months I thought I was going to pull my hair out .. I had to stick her in the shower at least 6 times a day..She still digs tunnels to China in the backyard and has a ton of energy but she turned out to be such a joy..She is so affectionate, great with children, and definitely a lap dog and I swear if she could talk she would..she makes the motions with her mouth.

So if you are thinking about buying a Westie I can testify they make wonderful pets.
